Esther Shimazu has established herself as one of Hawaii’s best-known artists. She is best known for her stoneware sculptures of bald, nude, chunky Asian women constructed with hand-building techniques. In her demo, Shimazu will build an entire ceramic dog from start to finish.
By popular demand, we are bringing back Esther Shimazu for more demonstrations. Using Zoom, each presenter will do a demonstration for three hours. Our first workshop will take place on Saturday, June 13th from 1 pm to 4 pm. Esther Shimazu demonstration will be held from 1 pm to 4 pm.
In an intimate setting, participants will have the exclusive opportunity to ask questions and engage in conversation. In order to participate, Zoom must be downloaded in advance. The Zoom meeting ID will be provided four days in advance. If you have any questions regarding Zoom or want to register through the phone, please feel free to call the gallery Wednesday through Sunday from 11 am – 5 pm at (530) 756-3938. Registration fee is $50.
